Biomedical Research Awareness Day (BRAD) was created by laboratory animal veterinarian Dr. Logan France through the Michael D. Hayre Fellowship established by Americans for Medical Progress (AMP). In 2016, the first BRAD was celebrated at 20 veterinary schools across the country. BRAD has continued to grow and is now hosted annually at veterinary, medical, graduate, undergraduate and elementary schools, research institutions, companies, associations, veterinary hospitals, and more around the world!
